Folks love shoe cakes!! Go figure. When Lexi chose UGG Boots for her 18th (I know, how did that happen!!) birthday cake, I thought she was trying to tell me something......... Well, she did get accepted to college this week! Her 1st choice, to boot! LOL I kill me! Could the boots be symbolic of her leaving in the fall? Stop!! I can't take it!! The joy of 1 down with one to go! You thought sadness would be my emotion? Seriously? The cake could also have been wings to fly to the next chapter of her new found adulthood!
Anywho, my first baby is 18 years old. I guess that makes me, uh, hmmm, oh, OLD!! It's all good, though. I love you, my beautiful Lexi Joy! Happy 18th birthday! Never forget, I taught you how to wash your own laundry. That is the greatest gift a mom can give to her soon-to-be college bound girl! I am so very, very proud of you :)

Chocolate Tea Kettle Cake
Tea Kettle cakes are all the rage!! For this decorator anyway. It is the third one I've made and is special for many reasons. Mostly because it is made for my oldest and dearest friend, Lisa. Her aunt has an annual girl's tea, so what else do ya really need?
Aunt Marguerite is quite the fan of chocolate. This cake should suit her taste buds perfectly. Triple chocolate fudge cake with my secret recipe chocolate frosting. Yum!!
Lisa told me auntie M (I know, LOL) cried when she saw it. And there you have it! Making someone cry at the site of one of my cakes: Priceless :} I think.........................Thank you so much, Lee!

Hallie's Justin Bieber Birthday Cake
First, try saying THAT 10 times really fast!! LOL
Seriously, my baby, my Sweet Hallie Rose came into this world at 9:12 am, 9/28/99. The universe smiled upon me that special day! When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she replied, "Justin Bieber"! Okay......How's a mom like me going to do that? With tickets to see the Biebermiester in concert in Boston, and a JB birthday cake! That's how!
Happy birthday my beautiful daughter. And many, many, many more. I love you <3

Hey Kid, Remember, You're a Melon!
Ok, new trend alert! Fruit Cakes! LOL No seriously, this is the second request I had in a month for a fruit inspired birthday cake. This watermelon cake was made for my little niece, Shaunna, for her 10th birthday. I think she loved it, but is way too cool to let on. That's why I had to add the pesky fly. Let her know I am a lil bit cooler than she is! WORD! (are the kids still using, "word" these days?)
Happy Birthday, my Shaunna! Anything is possible in life. And remember kid, you're a melon! :)

Skateboard Graduation Cake
Do you want to ride? LOL This Skateboard Cake was made for a young man, Dave, to celebrate his graduation from Billerica HS. My daughter, Lexi, is a serious fan of skateboarding. (really, just the handsome skateboarders) She gave me plenty of tips for this guy, since she had just returned from the Dew Tour. Google if you must :)
Hoping Dave can roll into his new role of high school grad! Punny, aren't I?
Nicole's Violin Cake
Nicole really loved her birthday cake from last year. Her mom, (my bff, Jean) suggested a purple violin, since Nicole has been playing for about 10 years, or something like that. Luckily, my daughter, Hallie, took up the violin last fall, so I had inspiration. I think Nicole liked it, but her heart belongs to last year's cake. Scroll down a lot and judge for yourself :)
Hunter's Bloody Birthday Cake (say with English accent)
First, there was the footwear cake trend. Now, the trend is European flag cakes. What's up with that? Oh, maybe the World Cup had some small part :) OK, Hunter, is one of Lexi's buddies. She is a nut, and we like that! She has an incredible ability to speak with just about any accent you ask her to. The British Flag was her request for her birthday cake. I sure do aim to please! By golly, I think she thought it was brilliant! (again, say with English accent)

Tony's Italian Flag
Happy Birthday to the love of my life! My hubby is extremely proud of our heritage. Been talking bout a tattoo for 10 years featuring the land of our ancestors. Was hoping to make something grandiose for my man, but, alas, I spent most of the day in bed with bronchitis. Hope he likes what I was able to do. I like it :)

Orange You Happy It's Stephen's Birthday
That usually kills with the uh, younger crowd, yea.... Ok, good story behind the Orange Cake. The husband of my bff, Jean, is quite the, the, the, (yes, I repeated, "the", purposely) the, disciplined & regimented guy. Whew! Every night he begins his evening ritual by putting a napkin on the table, then peels & eats an orange. Yes, EVERY night. Recently, he attended a conference, and told his family of the serious spread of luscious baked goods with super huge cookies that was put out for the folks at the conference. His kids, so excited about the sweet bounty before him, asked how the big cookies tasted. He told them he didn't know, cause he chose an ORANGE instead! Are you kidding me! I searched the room for a hidden camera cause this was clearly a joke, right? Nope! He even snagged an extra one to take back to his room. God forbid he fore go the napkin thingy. Oh, well. To each their own orange! Happy Birthday, Stephen. Your cholesterol thanks you from the bottom of their triglycerides :)
Rose Garden Cake
Isn't it perty :) I have always wanted to put colorful flowers on a chocolate cake. It is a vanilla cake loaded with hunks of chocolate in the center, then the chocolate frosting, of course! Delish! One cake this year for Mom & Karissa to share. Hey, they are getting too old for their own cakes!! I kid, I kid......

Crazy Hearts Cake
Gift Box Cake
Little sister, Stacey hit the cake jackpot this year. I made 3, yes three cakes to mark her 41st birthday. This is number two. After making the penis cake, I realized some folks at Cousin Jeanna's may be opposed to eating penis, cake or otherwise. I decided to make something a little more mainstream. Sure did taste good :)
Yes, It's A Penis Cake!
Ok, I made the boobie cake so it's only fair I make a Penis cake! I had to out do the Bum cake I made for Stacey last year, so Penis trumps all, doesn't it? My 8 year old cousin, Michael, took one look at it and swore it was Rudolph. lol When he discovered what it actually was, he begged to not cut the balls!! Poor kid. Hope it doesn't traumatize him for life.......

Dad's Black Jack Birthday Cake
Dad's birthday is 12-31: New Year's Eve. For years, my childhood home was THE place to be for New Year's Eve and to celebrate dad's birthday. This year we kept the celebration small, as dad is not feeling too well. I made this cake for him cause he enjoys playing black jack. Dad is also a fighter. We are all betting that his fighting spirit will prevail. Happy 72nd Birthday, Dad!! I love you!
